Student Activity: Select a current local or national controversial issue. Create a list of questions including at least one of each of the following types of questions: open ended, closed ended, neutral, leading, primary (bipolar), secondary (probing). Interview at least 2 people (face to face/virtual/phone all fine) using your question list.
Discussion Questions: Post your survey questions for the class (label the type of question). Compare and contrast the amount and nature of the information you gathered. How did different people (age, gender, education, occupation) react to the different types of questions? How can you explain the differences in responses?
