Social media has become so deeply ingrained into our society and way of life, for many people, it is hard to imagine life without it! Social media sites and platforms provide a means for people to interact with geographically dispersed friends and family, forge professional networks, quickly and easily share information and ideas, and create virtual communities. Although a lot of good has come from this means of connection, a fair share of problems and sources of contention have come from it as well.
Explore the influence of social media and share a positive and a negative example of how social media is used to influence others (products, ideas, etc.).
• Describe at least one positive example and at least one negative example of social media being used to influence others. Be sure to include your thoughts on why you feel these examples are positive and negative.
• Identify what makes social media messaging effective. Include at least two examples to support your response.
