1. Analysis of an organization’s structure, mission, purpose, and role/function within the CJ system.
Select any organization or agency, government or non profit that you are hoping to be employed by and provide the following information:
(if you are in the victimology option you must select any organization that INCLUDES victim services or similar function or directly pick an organization that has the sole purpose of assisting crime victims and their families) Corrections option students may select any correctional or law enforcement agency.
You will need to access the organization’s website in order to be able to respond to this question. You essay must be thorough. You must also provide the below information:
• PHYSICAL LOCATION:
• INTERNET WEBSITE.
• TYPE OF AGENCY: Law enforcement; probation; victim services, etc.
• STATUS: City/County/State govt; NGO; Private firm/employer, etc.
• ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE: (management/supervisors/lower level (paste organizational chart into your document if available)
If you are in the victimology option any organization you select, such as a law enforcement agency or a prosecutor´s office, must have a section, unit or department that provides services to victims. That section or unit must be shown within the organizational structure
• JURISDICTION (What is the agency responsible for? For what geographical area?)
