Consider the following correctional populations: men, women, those with substance abuse concerns, those with mental health concerns, and LGBT. Identify 2 strengths and 2 weaknesses in our current correctional system’s ability to handle the needs of 1 of the above populations of your choice. How do these strengths and weaknesses change the experience of being incarcerated for those populations?
