Qualities of an effective leader

What are the most important qualities an effective leader should have? What is the importance of trust in leadership? In what areas would you like to improve your leadership? What is the role of effective communication in leadership? Are you aware of, and if so what are your thoughts on Servant Leadership? How do you evaluate whether or not you are leading successfully?
