In this module, you learned more about the consumer decision-making process. As we’ve noted, a customer’s level of involvement in this process may vary based on the type of product they are considering purchasing.

After reading the page titled “Customer Decision-Making Process and Level of Involvement,” share your experience. Describe when you were very involved and spent a lot of time deciding whether to make a fashion purchase.

Specifically, discuss the following:

1. When and why did you recognize the need or desire to buy a new fashion item?
2. What was the item?
3. Did you do any research? How? To which sources did you turn for information? What information did you want to find out?
4. Did you consider different options? If so, share these.
5. Did you buy or decide not to buy the item? If you bought it, did you buy the exact one you thought you wanted or did you end up buying the product from another company or brand?
6. Why did you go with the one you wanted, choose an alternative option, or decide not to buy the item?
7. In retrospect, do you consider the item to have been a need or a want?

Instructions

In this topic, you will select a fashion brand you are interested in and introduce it in a slide deck. The brand you choose will be the focus of your topics from now until the end of the semester. Please explain why you choose this specific brand by completing the assignment as directed.

After receiving approval for your brand, create a slide for each of the following:

• Introduce the fashion brand you have chosen by explaining the products and services they offer.
• What is the brand known for?
• Why you have chosen to research this brand?
• Does the brand have a store in your area that you can visit?
