rganizational CLIMATE can be compared to a weather report - it can be cloudy, thunder storms likely, foggy or calm, sunny, 75 degrees. It is determined many times by the behavior of the designated leader. Much like a thermostat climate can be regulated (or is formed) by the way administrators, staff, participants relate toward each other...IT can be controlled!
Assignment: When going in to present a request or to discuss a problem with your "boss"/ superior, what can he/she say or do to project a NEGATIVE or POSITIVE climate?
1.list at least 5 NEGATIVE behaviors.
2. What about a Positive climate -list 5 behaviors.
3. E+R=O Model ...
E = events - ("blank_____ happens!")
R = response - I/We respond - say or do something.
O = outcome - we get outcomes or results, desired or not desired.
