such as food, or attending mass, or dress, or being a slave.
this is an exercise in historical imagination, not in argumentation. Be sure to support your points by reference to the primary sources we have read, but the
goal of this exercise is to imagine what human life was like in the late empire, to attempt to put ourselves in the shoes of late Romans.
